Gambling Applications Removed from Swedish App Store
Following some concerns over certain gambling apps, Swedish Gaming Authority has decided to take action by removing the applications. The Lotteriinspektionen, Sweden’s national regulatory body, has expressed reservations when it came to the gambling content present within Apple’s popular App Store. The gambling authority decided to take the necessary steps to remove the online products from the list of offerings in the App Store as some items have not been properly licensed in the Scandinavian country. The American tech firm did not get in the way of the removal process and agreed to take down the respective gambling apps from their vast array of products. Although some titles that were not the most popular with regular players will still be missed by certain people in Sweden that enjoyed them. Some bigger names in the industry that got removed from the App Store are; Bet365, Betfair, William Hill and Unibet. These aforementioned firms will surely be disappointed with being left out from the Swedish gaming market, which provides great betting opportunities for big providers. For now it is not clear whether more gambling apps that pay great rewards will be removed from the App Store, as the Lotteriinspektionen is currently reviewing other content. |
