HoloLens, To The Mars!
Holographic imagery, high tech equipment and futuristic glasses…we have so much to look forward to! Microsoft is making Star Trek-y progress with its wonderful new invention, the HoloLens. It is supposed to be released in the near-future and even NASA plans on taking the tech out for a spin in the galaxy. What’s more, this great novelty could inspire wonderful things when it comes to gambling technology, too. According to the LA Times, NASA wants to use the HoloLens to help astronauts become more independent when they’re out in space; as Sam Scimemi, director of the International Space Station program said in a statement: “This new technology could also empower future explorers requiring greater autonomy on the journey to Mars.”
Instructional guides and easier repairs
Astronauts could also send down images of broken equipment and receive updated, holographic information on how to go about repairing. Can you imagine how cool it would be if some gambling software featured holographic imagery during the game? It would make the gaming experience insanely life-like. With an anticipated launch in January, HoloLens will not only provide solutions to astronauts and gamers. The LA Times stated that doctors and construction workers would also gain many perks thanks to this clever creation. Having actual 3D images would make interpretation and planning much easier in many professions. Just remember that Toni Stark used something similar, too. |
